kaleidify code
Your code, your terminal, your rules, your models.
An AI that writes code in your terminal, for Macs and Linux, with Windows support coming soon. Tell it what you want; it reads your project, makes the change and runs your tests. You see every step.
Get started in three steps

- 03
Start in a project
Run it from the folder you're working in and say what you want done.
What it costs
With Kaleidify's AI models
- Free to download for Macs and Linux. Windows support is coming soon.
- Pro and Max include monthly Code credits, separate from Studio's.
- Each task uses credits for the work the AI does. Smaller models use fewer.
- Check your balance any time with
/accountin Code.
With your own models
Run an AI model on your own computer, for example with Ollama, and point Code at it. It uses no credits, on any plan. You still sign in with your Kaleidify ID.
~/.kaleidify/config.tomltoml
What it does
- Finds its way around. Goes straight to the part of your project that matters, instead of reading every file.
- Precise edits. Changes exactly the lines it means to, and retries safely if something moved.
- Runs safely. On macOS, its commands run inside the system's own sandbox, and you choose what it may do.
- Undo any step. Roll back its changes, pick up where you left off, or branch off in a new direction.
- Reads long logs cheaply. Pulls out just the parts of long output that matter, so you spend fewer credits.
- All-or-nothing changes. With atomic mode on, a group of edits either all goes in or is undone together.
